Terms of Service
The agreement between you and İST AND TRAVEL TURİZM LTD ŞTİ for using FlightByte: the website, the dashboard and the API.
Last updated 17 October 2026
Who we are
FlightByte (the “Service”) is a flight status API with signed webhooks, offered at flightbyte.dev, app.flightbyte.dev and api.flightbyte.dev. It is operated by İST AND TRAVEL TURİZM LTD ŞTİ, Şişli, Istanbul, Türkiye (“FlightByte”, “we”, “us”).
These terms apply when you visit the website, create an account or use an API key. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you accept them for that company and confirm that you are allowed to. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Service.
Accounts and API keys
- You need an account for a Free key. Give us an email address you read and keep it current.
- Keep your keys secret. You are responsible for what is done with them until you revoke them; revoke a key in the dashboard as soon as you think it has leaked.
- One Free account per person or company. Opening more to get around the Free limits is not allowed.
- You must be at least 18, or of legal age where you live, to use the Service.
Plans and limits
- Each plan’s price, included watched flights, lookups and rate limits are listed on the pricing page. A watched flight is a subscription created in a calendar month (UTC).
- The Free plan costs nothing and stops at its limits: requests over them are refused, nothing is charged. We may change or end the Free plan with notice.
- On paid plans, requests over the rate limits are refused, and watched flights beyond the number your plan includes are charged at the per-flight rate shown on the pricing page.
- An Enterprise agreement signed with us takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.
Payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes your payment, issues invoices and receipts, collects sales tax or VAT where it applies, and handles billing questions and returns. Paddle’s Buyer Terms apply to your purchase alongside these terms.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes, which Paddle adds where the law requires.
- Paid plans renew every month and are charged in advance at the start of each period until you cancel. Extra flights are charged after the period in which they were used.
- If a payment fails, Paddle retries it. Until it succeeds we may hold your key to the Free limits.
- We tell you about a price change by email at least 30 days before it applies to you. It starts with your next period, and you can cancel before then.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel a paid plan at any time by writing to support@flightbyte.dev from your account’s email address. The plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing more is charged.
Every payment can be refunded in full within 14 days, without a reason. The Refund Policy explains how.
Acceptable use
You may use the Service and the data it returns in your own products, commercial ones included, and show that data to your users. You agree not to:
- resell or redistribute the Service or its data as a flight data feed or API of its own, or use it to build a competing flight data service;
- share keys outside your organisation, or use several keys or accounts to get around a plan’s limits;
- overload or interfere with the Service, bypass its limits or security, or test it for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
- use it for anything unlawful, send webhooks to systems you are not allowed to use, or put personal data into subscription metadata or headers without a lawful basis.
We may suspend a key that breaks these rules or puts the Service at risk. Where we can, we tell you why first.
Flight data and webhooks
- Flight data comes from third-party sources such as airlines, airports and data aggregators. It can be late, incomplete or wrong, and flights change after we report them. We pass on what we receive and work to keep it right, but we do not guarantee that it is accurate or on time.
- The Service is not built for air navigation, air traffic control or any other use where safety depends on it. Do not make it the only source for a decision where a mistake could hurt someone or cause serious loss.
- You run your webhook endpoint: verifying signatures and handling retries are yours to do. We may pause deliveries to an endpoint that keeps failing, as the webhook docs describe.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted: maintenance, upstream outages and network failures happen. There is no service level agreement unless we sign one with you.
We may add, change or remove features. Before a change that breaks working integrations, we tell you by email or in the dashboard, unless security or the law makes it urgent.
Your data and ours
What you send us, such as webhook URLs, headers and metadata, stays yours. You let us store and process it to run the Service; the Privacy Policy says how we handle personal data.
The Service, its software, documentation and brand belong to us or our licensors. While you follow these terms, you have a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them as described here. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent the law allows.
Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of what you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence, or the rights consumers have under mandatory law.
If a claim is brought against us because you used the Service unlawfully or broke these terms, you will cover the reasonable costs it causes us.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service at any time; to close your account and delete its data, write to support@flightbyte.dev. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for non-payment, or when the law requires it, with notice where that is reasonable. When an account closes, its keys stop working and its subscriptions stop watching flights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We tell you about material changes by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply; if you do not accept them, cancel before they do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in and may bring a claim in its courts.
